Excursion through the Cocora Valley
If your desire is to delight the view with a landscape as unique as it is extraordinary, do not miss this excursion and take a closer look at the tall palm trees. Since it rains constantly, the trail will be quite muddy, so you'll have to rent a pair of boots if you do not want to know what it's like to have mud up to your knees.
The looker
As in many cities and towns of the world, you can never miss a place of these. In the viewpoint of Salento you can see the magnitude of the Cocora Valley, the Quindío River and the beautiful haciendas that adorn the nearby mountains.
Delight in the Calle Real
Not for something this street has such a prominent name. When you go through them, you will be glad to visit the handicraft stores and local clothing stores, located in colorful houses.
The Bolivar Square
This is the central square or the heart of Salento. You can enjoy watching the daily life of the people in a relaxed way and breathing the tranquility of the streets, while taking pictures of the statue of Bolívar and the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
The Finca of Don Elías
Nothing like walking a coffee farm and learn all the process that involves making coffee, from its cultivation to roasting. The small tour is worth 5,000COP ($ 2.80) and ends with a good cup of coffee or red (Colombian way of calling the coffee).
Agroecological Park The Promised Land:
Cataloged by many locals as a kind of paradise, this park is a great attraction if you want to interact with the animals of the place, walk on paths in the middle of the forest and distract the view with the landscapes.
